About us

Greensboro native Chris Maness founded the first Jam's Deli in 1988, bringing with him a decade of experience in the restaurant industry. Originally located in the former Boston Market building in Quaker Village, the deli started with a modest seating capacity for 33 guests.

Chris was driven by a single goal: to offer high-quality sandwiches at competitive prices. His vision quickly resonated with the community, and within just five years, Jam's Deli was ready for expansion. Serendipitously, a nearby Schwinn Bicycle Shop in Greensboro was closing, providing the perfect opportunity for relocation. Chris seized the chance and secured a lease for the new space at 5707 W. Friendly Avenue, which offered three times the seating of the original location. Today, Jams Deli remains a cherished spot for a quick lunch, dinner, or party event.

Jam's Deli is committed to providing quick service without compromising on quality. Chris maintains this promise by using only high-quality ingredients and taking a hands-on approach in the kitchen. He thrives on the energy of bustling lunch and dinner services, finding joy in making his customers happy. As Chris proudly states, 'We like being a part of the community and part of the neighborhoods we are in, knowing our regular customers by first name.' We invite you to visit our place for one of our savory burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, and more. Join our community and connect with us on social media!
